Welcome to the sixth match of the Corporate Liga Lux.  Read All

Dear all, welcome to the sixth match of the Corporate Liga 09/10

Referee of the day is Mr Andrè Urbing, of Federation Luxembourgeoise de Football,  who devolves his emolument to “Doctors without borders” .  Tough matches for him, with several yellow cards, but  he always  kept control of the situation, and sometimes he forgot few players who merited a yellow card.

Many players complained to have  been hurt or to have received a blow on the legs. As reminded many times by the referee, we always suggest the use of shin guard. They are not expensive, very comfortable, and avoid many risks. Please, use them.

Evening full of goals: easy matches for Ferrero and PwC, who won easily against Citi and Mizuho. A very hard match between Eurizon and Fidelity, ended in a spectacular 6-6, with goals and suspense till the last minute. Audience was very well satisfied, however different discussions or yellow cards.

PwC vs. Citi 16-7

PwC decided to take Suleman Chorfi, last year second top scorer, as goalkeeper. Quite an insane decision, after the fantastic track record of goals of this player (over 30 goals last year). But Chorfi is probably hiding a secret, as he defended very well his goal, as proved in the videos. Suleman, what are you eating at breakfast?

Bookmakers prognosticated an easy match for the Auditors, due to the difference in technical skills. And after a quarter of an hour we understand why:  with a double of Cerchez, Reds took the score 6-2 for them.

It seemed that the match was already closed, but Citi had a reaction, and succeeded to decrease the passive, closing the first half 6-4.

Second half without history: PwC imposed his supremacy, scoring other ten goals and closing the match.

Citi had a hard opposite tonight, but they scored however 7 goals, and this is quite a good score. Match after match, Simon and Co. are finding an harmony, and are creating many more occasions. To play and loose against Ferrero and PwC is quite normal, as they seem aliens sometimes, but in matches with easiest teams we think they can make the difference now. We’ll se what bookmakers will do for the next days.

Best players: Cerchez and Perrier

Fair play: Chorfi  and Fidoud

Ferrero vs. Mizuho  12-3

Another victim for Kinder guys. The match, dominated by the Italians, didn’t offer many chances for cap. Silva and Co. The team leaded by Matteo De Bosio (6 goals for him) had the incredible secret to impose their game and their supremacy, and they don’t let any chance to the other teams. In both half times they scored 6 goals, and only in the second one, when the victory was already acquired, received three goals by a Mizuho who wanted to go out from the field with a minimum of dignity. Two yellow cards for the Japanese, quite nervous on the final period, maybe for the high passive. But everything was forgotten in the after match, with few litres of beers, that never miss inside Mizuho dressing rooms. Nice spirit of this team, but due the quantity of bottles, why don’t you offer it also to the nice supporters on the Auditorium?
We would like to underline the always good match of Moreno Mancinelli, who's 51 years old. Guys, take example, and keep running on the field without complaining. He's 51, and never complains to be too tired. Bravo Moreno!

Best players: Stella and Kazantzoglou

Fair play:  Calorio and De Donato

Eurizon vs. Fidelity 6-6

As often, many supporters for Fidelity, included different women. They are always very welcome. No one however for Eurizon: maybe the lack of mr. Liguori was the reason? Due to the flu, he called at his place Andrea Vismara, and Maurizio Pellegrini as goalkeeper. Yes, another one. It seems that Eurizon changes it in every match. Maybe they think it’s fashion, or maybe a very high competition inside the company. We think it’s the first case….

The match started very well for Eurizon, who found a goal after one minute with Magnani. And created a lot of occasions, but due to errors and a great Manu Armbruster (goalkeeper of Fidelity), they couldn’t finalize all their shoots. And Blues exploited this occasion, as first draw with O’ Sullivan (three goals for him today), and than, on a corner, scored again with Larguinho. Eurizon scored again with Magnani (five goals for him today, man of the match) closing the first half 2-2.

The second half is always the moment of truth: as seen already in all matches, Eurizon stopped playing in the defence, leaving the opposite team score several times alone in front of  the goalkeeper; Fidelity scored three goals with three different players. And the passive could be higher if not for a good Pellegrini in the goal. A passive of three goals like this should kill any residual hope of victory or draw, but Fidelity helped Eurizon in an incredible recovery. Many tackles, too many, different complaints against the referee, and a new scheme applied by Blacks took suspense into this incredible match, where Magnani scored again the draw one minute before the end.

Merited draw for Eurizon, who completed an incredible recovery, but Fidelity didn’t manage the match and it should do on these situations.

Best players: Magnani  and  O’Sullivan

Fair play:   Vismara  and Tankredi

Next week seems easy, with bookmaker giving already for sure a victory for Sanpaolo, SEB and BBH. May EIF, BoNY and Cetrel surprise us? The answer in seven days
