BBH and a Happy New Year!
Welcome to the fourth match of the Corporate Liga Lux.  Read All

Dear all, welcome to the fourth match of the Corporate Liga 09/10

Referee of the day is Mr Andrè Urbing, of Federation Luxembourgeoise de Football,  who devolves his emolument to “Doctors without borders” .  He congratulates for the fair play showed in the field.

Last match of 2009, full of goals. First three points for BBH  and Citi, another (large) victory for Mizuho. The year closes with a tournament divided in three parts: Ferrero alone with 4 victories in 4 matches, best defence and best attack, the first candidate for final victory; after a group of solid teams, with high probability to qualify for Final Four, however available places are only four. After Fidelity and EIF, at the middle of the list, and then all teams with only three points (except Cetrel, zero), at the bottom.

But the experience teaches us that Christmas time is very dangerous: if you don’t keep training (and make diet!!!), you’ll loose your form. We’ll see on January who has followed our suggestions.

EIF vs. BBH 5-8

New t-shirts for EIF, today in yellow. But it seems they are not lucky shirts, as seen by the final score. First victory in this tournament for Chentouf and Co., who were looking for this victory since a while.

It’s an equilibrated and fair match, with both teams looking for victory, without applying any strange tactic. Both and try to score, without a leader guiding both teams. In this kind of matches, the number of errors makes the difference: more efficient you are, first you close the match. And that’s it is, BBH scored more goals in the first half, taking the score 6-3 for them. On the spotlight Vandenbussche, with different goals and assists.

In the second part, BBH preferred to maintain the advantage, keeping control on the match, and waiting for counter attacks. However EIF has a very good defence, the second half closed with two goals for part.

Second loss for EIF, however a good match, but that’s football. Who scores more, wins. BBH made a lovely Christmas gift to his supporters, dedicated also to cap. Chentouf, who spent most of the time in the bench, guiding and supporting his team.

Best players :  Beltran and Vandenbusschee

Fair play: Baradel and Tinakicht

BoNY vs. Mizuho 8-13

As prognosticated by bookmakers, the victory goes to Mizuho. The team coached by Mr. Mariotti  showed also this time his technical and physical quality, and their real chance for qualification.

BoNY started quite well, succeeding, after having received two goals, to recover and take the score 3-2 for them. But Silva, cap. Of Mizuho and man of the match, took by hand his team and with goals and assists closed the first time 5-3 for them.  It was a nice match, full of occasions, where both goalkeepers, (respectively Leclere and Kazantzoglou) were quite busy.

But  Japanese have a leader in Silva that Blacks don’t have, and with the support of Kehal (four goals for him), didn’t let any chance to their opposite team.  BoNY played a lovely match, and 8 goals scored are quite good, however the defence, not always perfect, didn’t support the very good Leclere.

Best players:   Mehl and Silva

Fair play:  Santiago and Kazantzoglou

Cetrel vs. Citi 2-13

Last match for this year, and first three points for Citi. In a very easy match , Simon and Co. closed the 2009 in the best way. Cetrel played a nice match, but has to work deeply on the psychological side, as too many times Martinet was left alone against two-three players. Low pressing, many many errors on defence, all players running behind the ball instead to control the man, and go on. They lack experience, that’s all. More training, and more matches, will increase their harmony and chances to find their first three points in the history.

For Cetrel to underline the very good match of Mascime, with 6 goals, many of them scored alone in front of Martinet. A very ooportunistic striker, or errors of the defence? We’ll understand it in the next matches, but today he has scored 8 goals, and he’s the top scorer of his team.

Best players: Martin   and   Mascime

Fair play:  Martinet and  Mascime

We wish you all merry Christmas and happy a new year. See you in 2010 with another Italian derby, Sanpaolo vs. Eurizon
