Dear all, welcome to the second match of the Corporate Liga 09/10

Referee of the day is Mr Andrè Urbing,of Federation Luxembourgeoise de Football,  who devolves his emolument to “Doctors without borders” . The referee congratulates with the players for the fairplay showed in the field.

Nice evening, with equilibrated matches, and many goals. First three points for SEB and Fidelity, great improvement for Cetrel. Not a good day for BBH, who didn’t play so well this time.

BNY vs. Fidelity 5-7

Lovely and equilibrated match. Two teams with good harmony, ready for counter attacks, exploiting every passive action (free kick and corners); both teams with leaders who to make the difference: Mehl and Larguinho.

Match is so equilibrated that neither team succeed to have more than one goal distance in any moment. Armbruster and De Coster (goalkeepers) made their job very well, supported by a good defence.

The three points maybe are the result of the very good evening of both Larguinho and O’Sullivan, three goals each one, that guided the team to their first three points in this tournament.

It’s too early to say if one of this team will have chances for the Final Four. Future will let us know

Cetrel vs. PwC 4-17

Very good match by Martinet’s guys. After the KO with Ferrero in the first match, Whites entered in the field this time with another mentality. However for only one half.  But it’s an improvement.

The first half closed with a draw. Good pressing, more precision in front of the goalkeeper, and good harmony let Cetrel to compete with the finalist of the last year. Not an easy task, but with Spiderman Martinet as goalkeeper, it became possible.

The second half saw a decrease in concentration among Whites, who decreased pressing, and let many times PwC strikers alone against Martinet. Too many times Reds were able to score just with an easy tapin. Moreover, a great error of Whites, is the not application of the “zone mark”: all players were following the ball, leaving always some alone on the other side. Many times it was really too easy for Dido and Co. to score. On PwC side, good job for Van Renterghem, man of the evening with 5 goals.

But occasions will come, especially for who will keep training.

SEB vs. BBH  9-2

First three, meritated points for SEB. Italian team dominated since the beginning a not aggressive BBH, today without its best scorer Tinakicht.

Blue guys played very well, with a strong pressing, didn’t leave BBH to create many occasions; attentive on defence, and ready on counter attacks. Zollo and Castaldo, three goals each other, were the great problem for Chentouf and colleagues, who didn’t score any goal in the second half. Too many errors, both in defence than in attack, and a very good opposite will postpone again the first victory for the Whites.

With this three points, SEB is increasing his chance to win against their cousins of Eurizon, in the next match, while BBH will need a miracle, in this condition, to win against Sanpaolo.
