Corporate Liga Lux - Mizuho, Here I Am!
Welcome to the first match of the Corporate Liga 09/10.   Read All

Dear all, welcome to the second day of the first matches of Corporate Liga 09/10

Referee of the day is Mr André Urbing,of Federation Luxembourgeoise de Football,  who devolves his emolument to “Doctors without borders” . The referee congratulates with the players for the fair play showed in the field.

Today four new teams will make their début on our tournament. Not easy for them, without the time to increase their harmony and their physical condition. Tournament is very long, and I’m sure one of this team will reveal to be a surprise

Mizuho vs. SEB  13-8

SEB is an Italian company owned by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, the same group of Sanpaolo and Eurizon. So two derbies this year among the same company.

During the summer season, SEB stole Cyrille Martini, a Napolitan mastiff in defense to their cousins of Eurizon. Great deal! Cyrille is always one of the best players in the field; maybe he’s not the man who can change the destiny of a match, but his desire to win, his tenacity, and his perseverance are a great example for all his team.

Unfortunately the team is not following the example. “Mizuho came to win the Championship”, as commented in  the after match interview, and it’s trained by a very aggressive coach.

The first minutes are quite equilibrated, with Japanese scoring three goals, followed by two goals of SEB looking for the draw.  But Hocine Kehal didn't agree, and took by hand his team with a hat trick. The first half closed 7-2 for Mizuho. Tough result, but Riccarzo Zorzetto, cap of SEB,  motivated his team with a fantastic leit motiv: “who doesn’t not run, will be fired!”.

An idea very effective: second half more equilibrated, with no one controlling really the match, but different goals from both sides (6 per part).

The goal difference of the first half however was so huge that SEB couldn’t draw, leaving, however a very good second half, the first three points to Mizuho.

Best player:  Silva and  Boulard

Fair play:  Camaioni and  Pellegrini

Fidelity vs. EIF  5-5

Two new teams of our tournament. Both without experience, but with few players who can make the difference. First half with not many emotions, with both teams very attentive to avoid risk, ready for counter attacks. Tactic over dominated the show and personal ideas.

Match is full of emotions, with Armbruster and Tikfesis (goalkeepers) main characters of the match. Teams try to shoot and score from any place; many corners and free kicks for both sides.

First half closed 2-0 for Fidelity. The second half opened with Berteloot, who scored twice in five minutes, drawing the score. But Fidelity didn’t let  EIF lead the game, and with a double of Cilia, went over the Blacks. But too equilibrium couldn’t be break so easily, and Berteloot’s guys succeeded to draw, closing the match with a final and spectacular 5-5

Both teams played very well, and are in a very good physical form. Next matches will tell us their real potential

Best player:  Laurginho and Berteloot (the two captains)

Fair play:  Balaguer and  the Dominguez Echenique

BBH vs. Eurizon  4-5

The last one was a summer shopping time for captain Carlo Liguori: sold Cyrille Martini to SEB, he bought three new players, immediately lined up on the field. Gigliotti, D’Amico and Magnani, with the always good Bernasconi as support. Quite a different team than the one seen last year: good physical condition, concentration, and a very good goalkeeper, who saved in different occasion his goal.

Last year BBH won easily, but this year  couldn’t repeat the last match. After a long stop, Guillelmo Lorente Elio is back on the field: welcome back! Tinakicht as striker (2 goals and many occasions for him), supported by a Bertrand are the most dangerous players for the Whites.

It’s a lovely, equilibrated  and very well played match. Both teams very attentive, few errors, and good goalkeepers didn’t  offer  many goals to the audience, but I suppose Eurizon’s cheerleaders left the field quite happy.

The first half closed 4-3 for Eurizon (this year in Black); and only one goal per part in the second half gave the first three points of the season to Eurizon.  As commented by Liguori  at our microphones: “we won one battle, but not yet the war”. Very clear and very ambitious, he’s looking  tothe Final Four for his team, but road for qualification is long and difficult, also for this very good BBH.

Best players: Elio and Machado

Fairplay: Marlier and Machado

The first day didn’t give to the audience a real idea of the potential of each team. After their debut, the second match should clarify us who could tear to Sanpaolo the cup.
