Ernest & Young butchered Eurizon

Dear all, welcome to the first match of the second day of Corporate Liga 08/09 

Referee of the day is Mr Andrè Urbing,of Federation Luxembourgeoise de Football,  who devolves his emolument to “Doctors without borders” . The referee congratulates with the players for the fairplay showed in the field.

Today we have the confirmation about the strong  BBH and the incredible crisis of Eurizon, last year finalist with Sanpaolo. No yellow cards this day, all players fighted

Bank of New York - Raiffeisen  10 - 10
The best match of the evening. A match fighted (correctly) till the last ball, with Raiffaisen always running behind the Blacks (also with a difference of 3 goals), but believing till the last second in the possibility to draw. And so  it was. Different goals of high quality, good tactical scheme, and a costant pressing resume the quality of these two teams, who'll give a lot of problems to the others. We really suggest you to see the goals on the video section.

Raiffeisen played without cap Duarte, but Komes and Dias (respectively 4 and 3 goals) were quite enough for the Black's defence; on the other side Mehl, man of the match,  scored alone 5 goals (one acrobatic very nice). Both teams don't show to have the characteristic to win the tournament, but there are  many matches till the end, and remember what happened last year with Eurizon...

Fairplay and best players of the match are Dias for Raiffeisen and Fernandes for BoNY.

Brown Brother Harriman - Citi   12 - 5

A revelation for our tournament. Second match, and second victory. The secret of BBH is probably in his trainings: before the match, all the team warm up all together, and during the match, the coach gives directions and lead the team, a high turnover let also players to rest and be always at the top in the field. BBH has also the quality  not  to depend on  one player, there's no one main leader. To understand if this team is really candidate to the final, it's necessary to wait a big match, against Sanpaolo or Dexia, to  see their quality under pressure.

Citi on his side had different players than the last game, and this probably didn't help the team building. We have to say also that they started the tournament first with Sanpaolo (last Champion) and now with BBH. The next matches will be for sure easier. Main problem for whites is the defence and the coesion. After few matches played together, for sure, this team will show his quality.

Ernst & Young  - Eurizon   16 - 1

Again an incredible defeat for Eurizon. The team leaded by Carlo Liguori was butchered without pity by E&Y, hungry of points after he has lost the first match.  No team building, no defence, people running behind the ball without any tactical scheme. Eurizon was like a ghost walking  in the field, without a destination. Mr Liguori was absent yesterday, but that's not an excuse for a team who has back Busso, Bernasconi and a very good Sestito (goalkeeper), who has the merit to avoid a worst defeat. The worst attack and the second worst defence let Eurizon at the bottom of the list. Too many errors in front of the opposite goalkeeper and a defence with often only one player (see videos) are symptoms of a team in crisis. Carlo, it's urgent a training teraphy!

On the other side, E&Y gained deservedly its first three points, leaded by Paul and Lavarenne (10 goals in two). most of the goals are scored one to one with Sestito, who had no chances.

Very good team spirit and a physical condition let the whites won easily, but the errors of Eurizon are higher than the merits of E&Y, who has to prove his strengh also in the next match against Cetrel
