All teams merited the final, and bookmakers had really no idea about the possible winner.
It’s also the challenge between top scorers: Sequi vs. Birrou, Rahmouni vs. Van Renterghem; without forgetting also the goalkeepers: Kempeneer the Wall vs. Madelpech, Ambrosi vs. Crocenzo.
The only sure winner of tonight are spectators, who thank players for this great show.
PwC vs. E&Y 6-4
It’s the second time these two teams play against this year. Last match, maybe because it was Saint Valentine, ended 4-4. But today no draw is accepted, and only one will go the final.
PwC without Simmou and Mongu, the best players during the last match, while E&Y without Caraccio and Plat.
Score is opened by Dede, but Rahmouni drawed few minutes later. It’s a nice match, with both teams quite dangerous in the counter attacks and free kicks. There is not a real team leader, goals may come from any one, from any where. It’s only a goal of Ozkan, after a triangle with Yildim, to close the first half 2-1 for his team.
Second half is also better than the first, with many more occasions, and a fantastic match by PwC. The Whites opened the score again with Rahmouni, and after a goal of Floyment took the score at 4-1 for E&Y. A real guarantee for the final. A guarantee however that didn’t take in consideration the will and the fighting spirit of Shadie and Co., who didn’t loose the hope, and increased the pressure around Kempeneer. It’s Van Renterghem with a double to decrease the passive and take back PwC in the game, while Wernher and Chorfi completed an impossible mission , Kempeener the Wall did his best, but he couldn’t do more; on the other side Elastic-man Madelpech flew on every ball inside his area.
A fantastic match that gave to PwC the ticket for the Final against Pictet.
SEB vs. Pictet 3-8
The 2010 champion against the team who played better during all over the year, the top scorers one against each other tonight: this is for sure the match of the year.
Mr. Carletti confirmed the usual team, with cap. Birrou convocated Durand and placed Crocenzo in the goal.
First half quite equilibrated, with both teams creating different occasions, but score is opened only after a while by Zorzetto with a fantastic shoot from midfield. Pictet doesn’t wait a lot to score, and with a double of Yagoub takes the advantage. It’s a tapin of Castaldo to close the half with a draw. At this moment, the two most waited players didn’t find the possibility to score. The second half is equilibrated and fair as the first, with both goalkeeper avoiding too many goals for both sides. An own goal of Bianchi and a counter attack of Birrou gave again the advantage to the Blues, but a great goal of Castaldo, best player for SEB, reopened the match. Mr. Carletti was expecting a great final, with Sequi leading his team again to the victory, but Birrou and Yagoub punished them in any possible counter attacks in the last five minutes.
Pictet will play a meritated final, while SEB will let the title of the champions in front of a great team.
